Experimental Works
Experimental design projects can prove to be a splendid avenue for exploring various concepts. They offer the chance to challenge conventions and embrace thrilling and inventive approaches rooted in fresh perspectives. Moreover, they have the potential to furnish remarkable additions to one's design portfolio.
The White Box Movement
Research has indicated that despite individuals' opposition to using animals for testing consumer products, they seldom possess awareness or take action while shopping. We must adopt an unconventional approach to alter the current state of affairs.
"The White Box" is a pilot project spanning four months, designed to advance the cruelty-free movement in Hong Kong. Its primary goal is to enhance public consciousness regarding the utilization of animals in consumer product testing and transform their opposition to these inhumane experiments into tangible steps. It aims to prompt Hong Kong to initiate the first phase of the cruelty-free movement.
To fulfill the project's objectives, we employ "The White Box" as our strategy. With a simple and clean design aesthetic, we utilize the slogan "Look through the white box" consistently, imbuing it with various symbolic meanings associated with the white box motif during different stages. Our approach centers on making the white box an easily recognizable and potent symbol that embodies the underlying idea, reminding individuals to scrutinize product labels before purchase and opt for cruelty-free items that abstain from animal testing.
Through the completion of this project, we anticipate that the target audience will develop awareness about purchasing cruelty-free products. Consequently, the market share for such products in Hong Kong will continue to expand, thereby generating the impetus required to propel the Hong Kong cruelty-free movement into its subsequent phase.

FC Barcelona Camp Nou & Museum Tour
FC Barcelona is a venerable Spanish football club with a history of 120 years. Its home ground is situated at Camp Nou, nestled in the heart of the city of Barcelona. Apart from being a prominent tourist attraction, Camp Nou is regarded as a sacred place by its devoted fans. Many travelers and enthusiasts specifically include a visit to Camp Nou as part of their Barcelona itinerary.
While electronic tickets can be purchased online, for such a rare and significant occasion, a splendid and bespoke brochure undoubtedly holds greater sentimental value. The intended recipients of this brochure are tourists and fans who plan to attend a match at Camp Nou. The book primarily revolves around showcasing Camp Nou as the focal point and includes all the essential information required by visiting tourists.
Given that Camp Nou is slated for reconstruction, which will elevate it to the status of the second-largest stadium in the world, this book will serve as a truly unforgettable memento.

An Eternal Love crystal book
This book delves into the theme of everlasting love, drawing inspiration from a poem by Ralph Quinonez. The poem's narrative revolves around the heart-wrenching experience of losing a loved one. As the protagonist grapples with anguish and despair, they turn to prayer, feeling an incompleteness within themselves.
To embody this sentiment, I crafted the book block using resin, encasing the poem and flowers as if they were locked within a crystal. The cut-out poem and blossoms are carefully nestled in wax. The interplay between poetry and flowers intertwines the two, with the poem serving as the stem from which the flowers bloom. This symbolism encapsulates the act of preserving the essence of love and our myriad emotions within the crystal, ensuring their eternity.
Though we are all mortal and bound to experience the loss of loved ones, love itself can endure eternally, much like flowers and poems enshrined in crystal. This book represents a rare and exquisite creation, offering a precious and bespoke opportunity in life.

Lacetrokes
Known as "woven gold," since the emergence of lace, it boasts a history spanning centuries and is revered as a symbol of femininity. Artists endeavor to interpret lace in diverse manners, seeking to transform its conventional image. With a similar purpose in mind, I aimed to present lace in an innovative manner.
My artistic endeavor entails extracting and accentuating the distinctive patterns and structures that set lace apart from other materials. Instead of using a paintbrush, I employ lace as a tool for painting, harnessing its texture and form to the fullest. This approach enables me to create strokes that cannot be replicated by any paintbrush, a technique I refer to as "Lacetrokes." I applied these Lacetrokes onto screens in Alfred Hitchcock's renowned suspenseful movies, infusing them with an intense atmosphere even without dynamic visuals or sound effects.
While my final artwork did not feature a physical piece of lace, it preserved the essence of lace itself. The Lacetrokes engender an ambiance that brings forth emotions, feelings, expectations, and even visualized imaginings. This demonstration proves that by examining things from a different perspective, every entity possesses potential, even those bound by long-standing conventions like lace.
